SCS Challenge

Happy New Year to all. I can't believe it is 2010.I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday! I had a nice one all of the kids were excited for Christmas, and we all rang in the new year together.I am going to try to post more frequently in this new year! I find I have made so many cards but have not posted any of them. This is the second day and I have made 5 cards so far and here is my first post.
I played in the challenge on SCS the inspiration challenge. I saw the beautiful jewelry that they made from windshields. go figure. I just love dragonflies so I had to play. The paper is from My Minds Eye. The CS is from Gina K and Bazzill, the stamps I had gotten from AC Moore when the were in Business here. The ribbon is from JoAnn's and the buttons are from Hobby Lobby. Thanks for Stopping By. Time to go shovle. We are getting some more snow out there. Meg

This is the card I made from the sketch from the Flourishes new letter. I love everything about their company. From their stamps to the paper and the gorgeous ribbon they have. The staff is the best! Now I just have to make more money to get more stamps,lol..... The deeds I tried for the first time stained glass tech. you stamp on one side of the vellum and color the other side. A fi rst for sewing on a card t0( I think fabric is much easier) I'll have to do more and let you know.Designer paper unknown had it in my stash for a long time.Card stock is Bazzill. Well day 2 of school and all is well so far.All of the kids enjoy all of their teachers and have seem to settle in. On with the card.This is a card I made for a challenge for stamp tv. It was a sketch challenge.I colored the flower in with my copics and used Nestabilities to cut it out. the Card stock is from Bazzill, The Designer paper is from Debbie Mumm.I used the scallop scizzors and the ribbon was from Hobby Lobby. Happy Birthday

Happy 80th Birthday Dad!
My Dad turned 80 on the 28th of Aug. My Dad's new wife of four years threw him a surprise birthday party on Sat, with all of his kids together in one place at one time.This does not happen to often. Last time was for his wedding 4 years ago and 6 years ago for the passing of my Mom.With six sister and one brother living all over the place it is hard.But we did it! And boy was he surprised, the look on his face was priceless. We all had such a great time with too many pictures taken(never enough) We started out the day at his house then to church, the good old day when we filled up the whole pew. And Pauline His wife had the mass said for my mom,that women is a keeper! We then went to a really nice restaurant were the food was great. All in all a great time even though the had it on my birthday! I wouldn't have wanted it any different.
On to the card now. this was for last Monday challenge on scs you were to use dry wall tape on your brayer with acrylic paint to use on your background. the stamps are Studio G . Summer pics

Here are some pics that I took this summer at the lake. Those of you who don't know I love loons. I could spend hrs watching and taking pictures of them, hoping for just the best one yet. The other was a nice size snapping turtle that decided to show its self just be we were gonna go tubing and watering skiing from that very dock. Needless to say we started off from the shore. This was just one of the many things we had going on this summer that kept me away for so long! Have a great Day.

Just A Couple of More Days

Thanks For being so patient , I will be back to regular post in a couple of days. We have My Dads big 80th birthday party on the 28 and mine on the 29th. The whole family all 6 of us girl and my one and only brother are all coming in for a surprise party for him.I can't wait., he has no clue and we all haven't been in the same place in 6 years. It should be a lot of fun!
