I can't believe it has been a week already, sorry peeps for the inactivity blog. This past week has been busy with one of my daughters getting ready for a diving meet, so lots of driving time to the pool and practice on the board then the meet. On to the card seems fitting that I am back with a color challenge. I love these colors together. Crumb cake,baja breeze and soft suade . This is a stamp set from Stampin Up that I picked up a couple of weeks ago at a SCS Get Together,it didn;t have a name on it . I also used a nestie , I went for the vintage look. Hi peeps,
Sorry it has been so long since I have been here. I have been really busy with get together over on Splitcoast. Last weekend I was in Conn. The weekend before I was in binghamton. We have so much fun at these gathering.
On to my card I made this card for today color challenge. It was concord grape, bashful blue and pear.I wanted to ink up some of my new sets that I had got and went with this one.
I love how this one turned out and no DP gasp !! This is not me, I have to feel my head and see if I have a fever! haha. Well thanks for stopping by and I will post some of the thinks I have made from those gatherings I have attended

Friday Sketcher

Hi peeps, I wanted to show you another card tonight. I have boys sectional tomorrow so I'm not sure what time i will be home, so i am going to share this now. this is the card that i made using the sketch over at Friday sketcher, always a fun one there. I used the adorable little girl that just graced my mailbox the other day. I colored her in with my copic using for the first time x-press blend it paper. The makers really do blend better, where i noticed a big difference is when you use the blender pen it is so sweet.
the stamp is from mft stamps. The designer paper is from Basic grey. The card stock is from SU. Well have a wonderful day.... MEG

Hi Peeps, sorry I have been away my youngest son and I went for a consult last wen. for his wisdom teeth, one had just broke threw the surface. He is seventeen,now my two older children have had no problem they haven't even come in. So we go in for a consult and needless to say Friday he had all four pulled at once. He didn't have and easy go of it. The medicine made him sick on top of having his teeth pulled! It has been a long three days!! That's all it been three days lol.
Well I did get a chance to play along this weekend. Here is the card I made with the sketch that Teresa posted over on SCS / Verve challenge. If you Gals are following The thread over there it's funny one of the ladies does not like tilted panels, so the chatter over there is always fun.
For my card I used Early Espresso and Very Vanilla card stock from SU. The Designer Paper is from Memory Box. I used my nesties and for the first time I used a die from MFTstamps. Oh and check out this cool ribbon rose I made, really easy just twisting the ribbon and gluing it down. I'm not quite sure if you can see the image behind the sentiment in the picture, but it is from Watercolor Trio. Thanks for stopping... MEG

SCS Color challenge

Hi Peeps, today I have 2 cards for a color challenge on SCS. The colors are Cajun Craze,Not Quite Navy and Daffodil Delight. This is my take on those colors. On the card above I used a cute digi and some Designer paper all from SU. Colored him in with copics and called it a morning for him. The card below. I did the night before, let me warn you I think I was half asleep when I made this card. Have you ever had a thought of what a card should look like in your head,then go to make it and it just didn't work? Well that is so of what happened with this one.

The designer paper had all of the colors in it. I think the Cajun Craze just over took the card. It is a really strong color to work with when you pair it with the other two. Well thanks for stopping time to go to work.... MEG

Digi pop up

hi peeps, today I have a pop up card for you. I have never made one of these, so be kind. Today challenge over at SCS was to make a pop up card. This is my take.

I used a sweet digi image that I printed on my basic ink jet printer heat set the ink and colored in with my copic makers. The ink seemed to do well,although when I went to antique it I noticed that the ink smeared a little on the top of the tree. So I will have to research that to see how all the digi stampers antique their images.

I must say I did have a little trouble putting the card together. I don't know if I scored the piece wrong, but everything worked out in the long run. Now for the card, CS is Stampin' Up and the Designer paper is Colorbok. Thanks for stopping..... MEG

Today I started out my Sunday with a great sketch by Amy Sheffer. You can find the Sketch here Viva La Verve .This is week 2, I look forward to this every week! Thank you girls for the wonderful sketches every week. I hope I don't have to much going on with this card.I believe this is the most I have done with one. Lets see we have sewing, first time I have done that on a card. Love to on fabric, thought I would give it a shot on paper.Then I have some embossing with a SU folder, then with the ribbon and button and thread. Oh and lets not forget the punch that I used on the sides of the card. I just kept going and going.... the image was so quick to color I had to keep playing. LOL.... Well thanks for stopping. Hi all, this is my take on this weeks sketch over at Sweet Sunday Sketch. I have so much fun do these.I am also going to place this card in for the color throw down this is the first time I have participated in it. Two for the price of one, you have to love it.On to the card makings,I wanted to try Black magic I had tried this one other time but wanted to use brown(that was one of the colors the others are so safron bashful blue and kraft)I like the results using the dark brown,but I think the black would have made the colors pop alittle better. Hi, I hope everyone is doing alright, and made it through the storm. We only got 10 inches with some ice,so we are some of the lucky ones!
Today I want to share with you a card I made for yesterday color challenge over at scs. It was river rock gray and whisper white. I have a fun little card that has a pocket in the inside if you wanted to put a gift card in there, or a special message in side. The card stock is from SU and the dp is from K&Company. I cut out the flower and only put adhesive on one side and a Velcro closer on the other. Hope you like today's card I will see you tomorrow..... MEG

Embossing then debossing

Today's Challenge on

SCS was to embosses on card stock then you take your brayer and your versa mark and lightly go over the raised areas then embosses it with powder. I did my on some DP paper and I think it came out pretty cool. If you click on the picture you can see the embossing I used rainbow sparkles.

I antique the tag with vintage photo, the DP with antique linen. I colored the flowers in with my copics. Short and sweet tonight my MIL had her hip replaced today so I have been at the hospital most of the day. Thanks for stopping..... MEG

3D Box

I Had mention that I had done some 3d items and I wanted to share them with you today.

The first one was for VSN on SCS we were to make a luminary and I chose to do one with Noah Ark. I wish the picture came out when I had it all lite up, it was so nice and cute. All products are Debbie Mumm.
My next one is a box using all punches, a circle punch for the handle and a punch for the boarder. The CS is SU and The image is from SU it is from Flower fancy it is a two-step stamp. The Sweet Stop

Hi my friends sorry it has been awhile, I had diving championships this past Wednesday night. I didn't get home till late and got behind and I just never caught up till now. Oh my diver got third place althought he didn't have that good of a meet.

Hi I'm back with another card today. This is the card I made using the sketch challenge on the VlV blog. They ran a sketch challenge every week for the month of January. I will definitely miss this when it is over, I had so much fun playing this. They came up with some great sketches! For my card I used a digi image colored in with copics. I love using early espresso and cherry cobbler together,I just love the color combo. The rest of the card is pretty self explanatory. Hi today I wanted to share with you one of the 3D project I did over the weekend.This gable box was so easy to make a couple of score lines and one punch and some folding. I have wanted to use this stamp that I had gotten for free last spring, can you believe it had not see ink yet! Well I had to show it a little love I stamped the background then ran the blue threw an embossing folder. Stamped again and colored in with my ink pads. I think I'm starting to get the hang of this. Although I still like my copics best.I know me if I don't like something I just have to keep trying till I can become better at it. Have a great day.... MEG

Good Monday everyone! I had another snow day today! We didn't get any snow but the temp was -19degrees. I can't recall if it has ever been this cold out.
This past weekend I had a bunch of fun playing VSN on SCS. The first challenge was to make a card with out a stamp the only stamp was for the sentiment, it has to be a flower you had to have a punch boarder and you could use ribbon. Hi this is my take for for the sketch for MoJo Mondays. I love how this looks in person the picture just does not capture it right the hues of red for some reason just don't come out that well for me. I stamp most of my cards at night therefore when I take the picture I usually have to use the flash. For the card base I used SU cs and K&Company for the dp.The stamp was one that I found in the dollar bin at Michaels. The heart and flower are old SU sets and the ribbon is SU also. Ok I think I have got this right !! Three cards all at once, they are all for the Viva LaVerve Sketch challenge from different weeks.I wasn't very pleased with the brown card so I did another card with the same sketch, funny how you can use the same sketch and get a different look.
My first card is Wild wasabi and barely banana and some beautiful paper from K&Company. Stamp set is from SU.
The second card is,early espresso and daffodil delights. Again the DP is from K&Company all ribbon is from Michaels.
For my third card cs is regal rose and crumb cake. The dp is from k&Company. I used a borderabilities in the middle with some pearls. These little birds are so cute!! Well thanks for stopping have a great day.... MEG

Viva LaVerve Sketch SU Winged Things

It's Wednesday  half way through the week. I can not believe it time has really flown by..

I have a card for you today that I did for the Viva LaVerve Sketch challenge. I love to make cards that are different in size than the norm, so this was right up my alley. For those of you that don't know I love dragonflies!!!! So when I get a chance to use them I will... I don't know if you can see the shimmer of the white card stock, I love coloring the image in with copics while using this card stock because the shimmer shows through. Then Icrystal effects to make it all shinny. My little one took the card and claimed it as hers as soon as I was done! LOL Stamp is SU Winged things the card stock is SU. Sweet Sunday Sketch

Hi happy Tuesday! Another day has begun, it is snowing here looking very pretty all white. I have 2 cards today I need to get some thank you cards done for some presents I received, so I thought i would use the sweet sunday sketch.

The first card with the dragon fly I colored the wings in with shimmer paints. I wish I had captured the shimmery if that is a word lol of the wings they look really cool. I have not used them in a long time!!

Funny how we forget things we have when then are not right in front of you.

The DP is Cosmo Cricket. The CS is SU I have used my nesties for the circle, and borderabilities for the two strips one is the negative of the other.

My second card is using the same sketch just more layers. This time I used My Minds Eye for DP and SU for CS, I did color it with copics. Hope you like my take on the sketch. Now that I have stumbled upon this sketch i will have to play every Sunday! Have a great Tuesday.. MEG

Mojo Monday's

What a nice way to start off your week with a sketch. I love this little bunny holding a little potted heart!!

I was at the store the other day and saw that they had all of the valentines day stuff out!! I just took my tree down. There is no way I am going to put up all of my vanentines decorations yet, although my eight year old would love that... I like the open spaces after you take down Christmas, and get the house back in order!

OK on to the card.. I colored the image in with copics cut it out with nesties, the CS is SU and the DP is Cosmo Cricket, I went with the garden variety. I might go over and try the vera sketch have a great Monday! Thanks for stopping... MEG

Today I want to share a card with you I made for my niece who birthday is coming up soon. Have to get this out in the mail tomorrow. I just love cupcake kiki. I colored her in with copics marker. Yes we have to go back to school and work tomorrow after having a break for 2 weeks. It has been so nice have 2 weeks off and spending time with the kids. I can not believe it is 2011 were did the year go to? Last I remember it was girls swim season and my daughter was doing good my teams was moving along all was well. Then my daughter made States and it has been non stop since then. Emily did well the first time at states she placed 24th in NYS, not bad for a freshman. Then I had one day off and went into our boy season! Not a real strong one this year but that is ok. I do have 5 divers so they are keeping me busy.
I usually don't make to many New years resolutions, but the one thing I really want to try to do it write on my blog daily. Not to sure how many people actually read it. But I think it would be good for me to try to do this for me. I read so many blogs out there and hardly put anything into mine. Lets see if I can turn it around I want to leave you with a picture of my kids and I around our big Christmas tree. I hope you can see how big it is all15 feet of it!

my youngest son who is standing next to me is 6' 4" . well I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year! good Monday to everyone today, We are back from a mini vacation we went to Darien Lake for 3 days. For those of you that have never been there it is a big campground attached to a six flags type park with a water park included. We all had a great time the weather was great, the kids loved the rides they even got Mom to go on a couple that I will never go on again. lol...

Get Together

This is the card i made for my sister her birthday was at the end of July. She went on a camping trip with the scouts for the weekend which her birthday happened to fall on. She had a wonderful time thought the scouts prepared everyone and cooked all of the meals not bad for a birthday weekend!

Mean while I'm working on a get together my friend and I are having in Sep. you can find us in the forum on SCS. So I have been very busy trying to do things for that and we went on vacation again towards middle of July, to come home to my computer broken.... How luck were we this is what we saw every night from our camp site. We had a great time, the weather was great sunny and hot. I think we spent most of the day in the lake, and the night by the fire. I'm back from the lake and we all had a nice time. We did have a skunk come and visit us one night but thank the good lord he did not get spooked we all survived the critter. I see if I can upload some pics. I have some nice sunset pictures and took one of the kids and my DH. that I thought came out pretty good. On to the card at your right. This little kitty is colored in yellow for a challenge on Thursday, and today's challenge was to use something new. Well this is a new stamp from Penny Black, not sure if it is new new, but new to me! The DP is from k&Company and I colored in the kitty with copics. Embossing

Embossing- There are so many different things to do with embossing powder.Their was a challenge on SCS, you had to use embossing powder. I chose to make a card and using ultra thick embossing enamel 3 x's to make my image pop. It really is hard to see it in the photo. But I do have to say so it turned out nice. the card stock is SU, the DP is My minds eye. Have a wonderful Saturday! Meg

This is a card made using black magic. This is when you stamp on black cardstock and color in with color pencil and it pop really well. I love the look it has. Happy Tuesday everyone, today was a beautiful day sunny 48 . We have had great weather for 4 days I think it is coming to and end tomorrow. This is a card I made today for the color challenge over on SCS. The colors were bashful blue certain celery and pink. We were asked to make a card for a family that is going through some tough times if you want to read about it head over there and send a card out. I did a gate fold card because I wanted to send the familt a hug, and what a great way to do that with this fold.The inside reads A Hug is a great gift.One size fits all.It can be given for any occasion and it's easy to exchange. Now for the recipe: The CS is from Bazzill and water color paper. The DP is K&Company. I used a piercer around the green CS and colored the bird in and used my aqua pen. Hi , These are two more of the card I had made for VSN the one with the pretty ribbon I folded over and sewed a line down the middle.The challenge was to use a score tool to decorate your card. I used my score pal to make this card and put some bling in the middle with a simple picture of DP and a I love you. A silk flower and a brad Took all of about 20 mins to make this card.The next card I not so in like with... I'm just not a all white kind of gal. But that was the challenge. It was called Snow Blind Used a couple of different textured plates and a corner punch and flower , and I called it a card.

This past weekend on SCS was vsn . The theme this time was the Olympics and I had a lot of fun playing along with all of the challenges the ladies has for us to do. These are just a few from some of them the first one is the dragon fly embossed in gold embossing powder. The second card was to make a card resembling the Olympic sweater, hence the dear and the maple leaf.
The third card was to use the marble effect background with re inkers.

I now so confused. My DD and I fixed the problem with the pictures, but then I was having problems with the bold lettering sticking. Fixed that Now I lost my third pic. I give up. You just have one of those days that you want to just stay in bed or stay at your craft table. The whole day and do nothing but make things and not interact with anyone but yourself? It has been one of those days... The Kids... The Husband.... Well tomorrow is another day,maybe it will be better. Hope your Day is alot better than mine. Snakeskin- What a fun thing to do, that I have not done in a long time. I found this blog just hopping around the other night just what I need! I love challenge blogs. This one was to create a card using snakeskin as part of your card. Well at 2:00 in the morning I didn't have all of the right things so I looked around to see what I had and came up with this.I used plastic canvas for mine. and instead of using ink pads I used Adirondack color wash. I really like how it turned out. I just love the Tulip can't wait til spring. I should have taken a close up for all of you it says bloom on the bottom.I really like this set from Brenda Walton this is made by Inkadinkado. Here is the last picture a close up of the snakeskin. Hi all, I hope everyone is doing good and enjoying the Olympic games. Thank goodness we are on vacation this week I have been up really late watching them. Erin who was in the luge is from my neck of the woods so we have been very excited to watch her. She didn't do as well as excepted but hey how many ou us can say we made the Olympics! This is the card I made today for the challenge on SCS I really enjoyed the sketch. Roxy does such a great job with the weekly sketch over there. I used Bazzill and Gina K card stock. DP is memory box. The stamps I used today are from Stampology which I believe are from Autumn Leaves. My DD strung some beads on a thingy, (lol) so I used that in the bow. I love how my bows look now that I make them with the bow easy.Although I must confess you can make a bow easy on your own with cardboard,had I know what they look like. Happy Valentines Days everyone! Sorry I have been neglecting blog I had 2 divers that I coach make sectionals 2 weeks ago, with the meet this past Wen. Which they did great, they both made it to the state qualifier which was this past Sat. and placed 12 and 14th. I was very pleased with the way they did! So now I'm good to go. I made this card for my hubby.I colored this little man in copics the stamp is from Michaels, the ink is Memento. This is a card I made for the challenge over on the OCC blog. Today was a color challenge,the color are to use blues and greens any of them. So this is the result of the blues and greens I chose to use.
This is a cute little inchworm from clear stamps.I colored him in with copics with colors that would go with my card. The DP is K&Company I love the wavy plaid.The Ivory CS is Gina K,so is the sentiment. I I used my coluzzle to cut out the ovals,sponged around them with memento inks.

Today I had fun with the Cuttlebug
Challenge which you can find on thee blog. The challenge was to make a pocket card, one of the colors had to be red. So I decided to do a book marker, I am always miss placing mine. All of my sisters love to read so one of them will be getting this one. The front Was colored with stamped with clear Stamps

Hello, Today I have been busy making some coupon holders. I love how these turned out.

My Daughter wanted one so therefore ,there are 2. The other card I have for you today is a inspirational challenge and here is what I came up with. I cut out the circle and sponged black memento ink around the edge. Next I stamped the grass In 3 different hues of greens added the cat tails some sponged brown around the bottom.Finally I stamped up my SU Stipple Plaid stamp with stazon cotton white and applied the grid. Happy New Year to all. I can't believe it is 2010.I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday! I had a nice one all of the kids were excited for Christmas, and we all rang in the new year together.I am going to try to post more frequently in this new year! This is the card I made from the sketch from the Flourishes new letter. I love everything about their company. From their stamps to the paper and the gorgeous ribbon they have. The staff is the best! Now I just have to make more money to get more stamps,lol..... The deeds I tried for the first time stained glass tech. you stamp on one side of the vellum and color the other side. Happy 80th Birthday Dad!
My Dad turned 80 on the 28th of Aug. My Dad's new wife of four years threw him a surprise birthday party on Sat, with all of his kids together in one place at one time.This does not happen to often. Last time was for his wedding 4 years ago and 6 years ago for the passing of my Mom.With six sister and one brother living all over the place it is hard.But we did it! And boy was he surprised, the look on his face was priceless. We all had such a great time with too many pictures taken(never enough) We started out the day at his house then to church, the good old day when we filled up the whole pew. And Pauline His wife had the mass said for my mom,that women is a keeper! We then went to a really nice restaurant were the food was great. All in all a great time even though the had it on my birthday! I wouldn't have wanted it any different.
On to the card now. this was for last Monday challenge on scs you were to use dry wall tape on your brayer with acrylic paint to use on your background. the stamps are Studio G . Summer pics

Here are some pics that I took this summer at the lake. Those of you who don't know I love loons. I could spend hrs watching and taking pictures of them, hoping for just the best one yet. The other was a nice size snapping turtle that decided to show its self just be we were gonna go tubing and watering skiing from that very dock. Needless to say we started off from the shore. I can't believe it has been six days since my last post. My daughter was getting ready for a diving meet this past weekend, trying to make it to nationals on 1 meter and 3 meter. The meet was in Rochester N.Y. we had a lot of fun she did make nationals! Ya! Here we come Indiana in July until then a lot of practice in Albany which is about 1hr and 45 mins away but it's her dream. The thing we do for our kids. Lets move along with the cards I have for you today. I made my Dad this card below I just love this bear, the stamp set is from Darcie's. I used my cuttlebug with tin foil a challenge on Stamp TV rubbed some memento ink on the tin to give it the aged look. colored in the bear with my copics.

the card stock is Bazzill and the ribbon is JoAnn's.

Here is my second card the one above. I love the designer paper on this one, it is from My Minds Eye. The stamps are from Michael's. The one that you get in the dollar bin. Studio G clear stamps. The card stock is Bazzill and the white card stock is Gina K.I colored the in using copics #B14 and 24. The flowers are prima and I added buttons to the centers. The ribbon is from Flourishes I love their ribbon, it always ties so nicely. We also move my eldest son back into the hose this weekend he came home fro the summer from college. here is a simple flower card for you today. i stamped two flower images, the bigger one I stamped six times and the smaller one I stamped three times cut them out and layered them with dots. Hi today for today's post I did a challenge on split coast. It was to use your white gel pen in your background. This is the card that I came up with for the challenge. The Stamp set is from Inkadinkado Stamps. I stamped the flowers in using memento ink and embossed in in clear embossing powder. Then colored the image in with watercolor pencils. For the background I used the cuttle bug on the card stock which is Bazzill and I used the Swiss dots. Sorry I forgot the maker of the designer paper. The white on all of the flowers is the gel pen. Weekend Sketch

You're the cherry on top. this week you can find this sketch# 80. I still have not figured out how to link to other blogs yet. The stamp is A Muse, I had to color it in with copic markers. My daughter favorite ice cream is strawberry so I used RV10&R22 and R27 for the cherry on top. The saucers that hold the ice cream were colored in with prismacolor markers warm color gray 10 and 20. I made this card for my niece , she just got engaged yesterday. This is the first time I have dabbled in shaving cream and reinkers, it was a lot of fun but messy. The ink colors I used are Adirondack Lettuce, Meadow,Cranberry and Currant. The stamp set is from Gina K designs Friendship Garden. I used copic markers to color the image in the markers are e 57,59,51 for the pot.the leaves are G 21 and 99. the flowers are

Wax paper resist

I have 2 post for you to day I didn't have time for one yesterday. My son had to have stitches the night before and is on crutches. So two for today. The first is a wax paper resist you put the wax paper down on glossy card stock and run it threw your cuttle bug. take your brayer and ink roll it on your CS and there you have it. the stamp is from Penny Black. I love Hedge Hog ,Hugs and Kisses is from Stamrabilities. I got the lady bug buttons from Hobby lobby. I colored the hedge hog in with watercolor marker and pencils.The cardstock is from Gina k and Bizzill. The ink I used is memento.
For my second card this is today sketch challenge on SCS. The paper is from My Minds Eye and Bazzill and the white cardstock is Gina K. I used Inkadinkado flower stamp for my main image and GinaK Happy Mother's Days from Friendship's Garden. I stamped the image on watercolor paper and colored it in with inks, and some dots with Rangers Liquid pearls. Hambo Stamps is having a contest on their bolg be sure to check it out! This cat is to cute. I had a lot of fun playing with her. I used Gina K card stock 80 lb it went right threw my printer just find. For the cat I colored her in with inks and my aqua pen. Foe the tube I added a touch of Ranger Distress stickles, so if she wanted to be out alittle late she could. The ice cubes I thought I would emboss with rainbow sparkles. For the background I sponged the whole thing. I used memento inks the colors are, tangelo,dandelion,bahama blue and summer sky. There is a lot you can do with the digi which I'm just now finding out.
